<<WSJ on drug development, then and now:>>

Thanks Peter for sharing...very touching personal and professional history of Sternbach and the drug industry...amazing he's still alive after years of self-clinical trials...

I too always tasted a drop of any liquid medicine I gave to the kids to be able to be honest with them, worked very well in establishing trust...best tasting is the liquid motrin! the liquid Digoxin is a pretty pastel green but pungent...

Also brought a reminder of Carl Jung's memoir written when he was in in early 80's...he confessed to doing things that worked for his patients that his colleagues would have frowned upon...one lady was bounced from analyst to analyst because at some point in therapy she would stand up and slap the analyst in the face...she was referred to Jung...he recounts that after several sessions, she continued her pattern and stood up, indignant and threatened to slap him..."You can slap me if you want, but I will slap you back," was his response(slight paraphrase)...apparently, she sat back down and never threatened nor slapped him and successfully completed therapy....
