JF, I don't see why you are complaining about Soros when Bush is estimated to have a $300 million (almost 1/3 of a $Billion!) war chest... already.

The difference is that Soros is getting around the campaign finance laws, i.e. blazing the trail for the new "soft money" contributions. This after he was one of the most vocal proponents for banning soft money in CFR 2002.

I'm sure there are wealthy contributors on the Republican side who will exploit this same loophole, but Bush didn't need to rely on them when building up his $300M war chest. Funny thing is that CFR may have helped Bush more than the Democrats. Makes you wonder who was benefitting more from "special interests."

This is calm compared to what is coming. It's going to get real nasty, judging by the posts here about John and Jane.

Good point.
