Ed, this isn't 1987. Impressive run up today and if you look interest rates are not at 1987 levels plus this is an election year. Also for those who like stats years ending in 4 are typically up years.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. blue-chip stocks ended at their highest mark in more than 2 1/2 years on Wednesday after Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said the U.S. economy was growing vigorously but reassured investors that no interest-rate hike is imminent.
