Neocon, you surprise me. I never realized how interventionist neocons were. It appears that the only difference between neocons with your value system and do-gooder liberal missionary's from days gone by were in their methods. They, quite foolishly, attempted to abruptly "help" the natives by giving them religion so they could find the "right" way. You and the neocons, however, want to "help" the natives by killing the hell out of them until they see the light. Do you even fricking KNOW how many Vietnamese and American lives were lost in that silly, gruesome war? We certainly helped the hell out of them, didn't we? It's a damn good thing too; if we hadn't killed them they might well have killed themselves on their way to wherever it was they were going. Hang on to your "who knows" and your "you never can tells," as for me I'll just look back on what we did and what it cost them and us and I'll think that the alternative was most likely a hell of a lot better.
