ENERPLUS FUNDS I'm in agreement with those who've said this thread is a good idea. Here's why! My wife and I have separate RRSPs. We have separate (and very different) investment philosophies. I take risks and trade actively. She wants to build her RRSP in a more sedate manner. So that means some good Canadian dividend payers are a must for her. Preferably ones with Dividend Re-investment Plans (DRIPs) to allow that miracle of compounding to take place. Now in my recent search for just such a company I came across the Enerplus Resource Fund. (Toronto - ERF.G) and the Enerplus group of funds which includes the Enermark Fund (EIF.UN -- also DRIPable) and the Westrock Energy Funds (which don't have DRiPs). For this year these oil and natural gas trusts are estimated to yield: ERF.G -- 12.2% and EIF.UN --- 14.6%.
