I heard the exact opposite from someone who is there

he said it is safer than last summer

he was surprised at how much progress has been made

mind you, that's only from someone I know, who has been there twice

do I think it's dangerous there? absolutely

do I think it is less safe than when Saddam dictated the country? no

and you might want to remind yourself what we paid, America, for freedom

it doesn't come cheap
