Ouch! I'm not sure that I'd want to put that much trust in any corporation. Looking at the Accutane label, the side effects include Organ damage, nerve damage, muscle damage, psychological disorders, ... Some side effects persist even after Accutane therapy is stopped. And this is to give someone the hope of getting rid of some pimples.

While I agree that something needs to happen to make it more efficient to get new drugs to market, I'd be reluctant to drop the "efficacy measure".
