GW never denied the cocaine stories, just refused to answer. I remember 1970-1972. GW was older than me but all the "big kids" in my rich preppy scene were starting to do coke. No one knew it was that bad for you and it was a sure way to get laid and party all night with a grin on your face. GW was never a pothead. He liked to drink, and probably snort.
