"The military question is a two-edged sword for Kerry,
Khachigian warned. While the Massachusetts senator talks
about his wounds and decorations, he's also remembered
as a member of Vietnam Veterans Against the War, an
angry activist who tossed his ribbons from war medals onto
the steps of the Capitol in 1971.

Kerry's anti- war efforts,'' Khachigian said, "and a lot of
veterans from then aren't happy about that.''
