Dennis: Thanks for the continuing updates on RAIN, especially your excellent interview with RAIN's CFO. I don't have much to add to the RAIN thread, being in Rainforest-less Texas, but I did stop in at the Houston's Dave & Buster's over the weekend. We were there at 4PM on Monday afternoon, so there wasn't much of a crowd, and they were doing some construction on some sort of 20-screen video wall which probably kept some people away.
Overall, I was fairly impressed with DANB. The place is huge, with tons of things to do that should appeal well to families and competition-oriented people in general. I was a little disappointed with their selection of video games, which was OK, but they seem to be about a year behind the state of the art games. They had the original Virtua Cop instead of Virtua Cop 2, they didn't seem to have Virtua Fighter 1 or 2, and they didn't have some of the other really new 3D games from Japan. I guess they want to appeal more to families and dates than to hard-core gamers, which seems like a reasonable strategy.
