When I first started hearing the issue of gay marriage coming up as being something the homosexual community was going to push during this election cycle, I thought that it was an incredibly selfish thing to glom this emotionally charged issue onto this incredibly important election cycle.

Then I read about Al Sharpton's campaign being run and financed by Roger Stone who is a right-winger who has never run a campaign for a democrat much less paid for it out of his own pocket (http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0405/barrett.php). I mean, this sounds like a covert dirty tricks effort being pushed to upset the Democrats.

So now, I am wondering if this gay marriage thing is another covert Republican operation. I know that it is liberal judges who are giving heat to the proposition, but I cannot help but wonder how it is that at this moment in history, right before an election, these cases are suddenly on the docket. Gay marriages being conducted by magistrates in San Francisco (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A37807-2004Feb12.html) even though this is not legal at this time.

Could it be that all of this is Democrats being manipulated by Republican operatives? I know this all could be lumped into the "conspiracy theory" trash bin, but hey if it walks like a "conspiracy theory" and quacks like a "conspiracy theory" why not investigate it as such....
