Great-Average-Dull. I hope I get a hit now and then in the "Great" category. Gossip has always been a lifeblood of human existence. In my dance group, it's dancing and "Peyton Place." Of course, I only hang with the Ladies, so I can blame it on them. But I admit to enjoying it.

I had never thought of it until now, but the four single ladies I hang with are an older version of "Sex and the City." And I get the weekly outpouring of their trials and travails. Instead of doing it at lunch, as the S&C girls do, they do it at our dance table.
