If you want a play on optical fiber, try Spectran SPTR. High growth rate, higher than OCCF, but much more reasonable valuation. OCCF is at 56X trailing 12 mo. earnings, and their growth rate is not high enough to justify a p/e greater than 20 or so. The CEO is still hyping the stock. Just got a form letter in the mail. I think they sent it to everybody who has requested prospectus or investor pack. It touts the stock and encourages you to go to your broker and buy it. I've never seen anything like it before. This is how he is trying to maintain an unsupportable valuation on this stock.
