From your link:

>>> So deeply held was the view that Iraq possessed illicit weapons — within the intelligence community and beyond — that it took American interrogators several months to concede that Iraqi prisoners who repeatedly said Iraq did not have such arsenals might be telling the truth, current and former intelligence officials said in recent interviews.<<<

Didn't they find any irony that what those prisoners probably said likely mirrored what Saddam's son-in-law defector said? What two former chief UN weapons (Ekeus and Ritter) inspectors said? And what Hans Blix appeared to be finding until his inspections were interrupted by Bush's preemptive invasion, and one similar to how Iraq invaded Kuwait?

We shouldn't lose sight of the fact that Iraq claimed reasons for its Kuwaiti invasion, just like Bush claimed reasons for his own invasion. With preemptive war now as the guideline for going to war, yes, Bush has made the world a very unsafe place. This should especially hold true if China were to decide to invade Tawain due to reasons of economics which China might claim affects its national security.

Bottom line? America should immediately disavow preemptive war as a policy. Like Kay just recently said: Bush should acknowledge his mistakes, learn from them and move on. Indeed, only then will the world be safer!
