The republican platform, not surprisingly supports the law of comparative advantage wrt trade. And that is fine, EXCEPT that the system isn't fair at the moment, it is skewed against the US "little guy" with the unfair Yuan exchange rate + unfair taxes on payroll + unfair lack of laws applied to offshore competition.

So, this complete disregard for personal hardship in the US and let them eat cake stance will be the demise of republicans in 04, I am certain.

Here is the clincher:
"The Midwest is probably where the presidential race is going to be determined, and the Southeast may be where the Senate control is determined," Schumer said.

Midwest and Southeast? The worst job loss states in the country and Bush has to win there? HAHAHHHAHAHA
