I agree with his comments about a possible crisis of the international monetary system even though I disagree about deflation.

The gold bull to date reflects only the drop of the buck against the Euro. No fear at all IMHO. But at some point I expect the fundamental underpinnings of the current international fiat money system to come under severe challenge -- probably soon after the current house of cards collapses.

That could send the gold price to a four digit range IMHO. We must not forget that the gold price jumped 20 fold during the 1970s gold bull as did the oil price. The current gold and oil bulls really are just tiny babies compared to the 1970s run. Especially considering that most of the 1970s gains in oil and gold have been wiped out in real terms.
