Had Mr. Bush been an actual "chickenhawk" like these nitwits around here like to infer, he would have surely stayed away from fighter jets....There was no guaranteed way of being in the service in those days and not taking the chance of being assigned to s.e. Asia.... Had he been the calculating wimp some believe him to be, then his choice should have been the Navy with duty assignments on the east coast....East coast sailors were normally deployed in areas a half world away from Nam....The left on this thread spout without much thought.
