PartyTime, the southern strategy is a myth. Texas and Florida are the two Southern states with the largest electoral college. The others are all in the North and West: California, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. So mathematically, South does not matter as much.

And this time, it is the economy. People are hurting. They are not willing to accept war for eternity. They expected Bush to be done with the war on terrorism. But instead he squandered away with the war in Iraq. A war that was not that important compared to the economic health of this country. So the South is ready to vote for one who gives them the best programs.

So let us not divide this country up.
