There may be one, but you can't infer it from that interview. Neither can you say that Kerry settled the question. There is nothing that you can legitimately conclude from that interview.

The lack of an outraged denial by Kerry when this broke, along with the "no comment" by the woman, pretty well says there was an affair.

Neither can you conclude that although it does nothing to counter your suspicions. If I were in their position and innocent of the charges--actually, I have been in a similar situation--I would say "no comment" as well on the grounds of not dignifying it with a response and on the grounds of the less said the better. I don't find their handling of it odd at all. Their response could support either side of the argument.

You just want it to be true whereas I don't much care.
