OK you made your point. Somebody else may want to bring out the economics on this. I am not versed with it.

Don't knock WPA and CCC. They were good projects. Many parks were built during that time. So was many portions of New York City subway lines which turns out to be a great mass transit system. Hoover Dam was built then and it generates plenty of hydropower generation of electicity.
