Well, what it did for me was to mature me. I graduated from H.S. in the South at a time when northern schools felt we were inferior. I had a GENTLEMENLY C average. After my stint in the USMC I learned discipline. Had the opportunity to go to a fine little College in Pennsylvania somewhat noted for its academic excellence. Well, guess what, I graduated FIRST IN MY CLASS!! DISCIPLINE, thats what it was all about. (gg) jdn
