i keep wondering why the HM example gets brought up over and over...maybe there were less choices in the 30's for gold shares that seemed reputable and as such everybody piled into this one vehicle ?

btw, it has been time consuming for me to do a detailed allocation breakdown lately, however i just calculated that my allo's to cash are 30 % right now and that basically means 70 % to the "hard stuff" i.e. precious metals, and to a lesser extent base metals, energy...some of my pm's are still physical through the millenium bullion fund here and some of the pm's have covered calls sold for february (i.e. pdg and kgc)...i expect these to be called away and if not, will lather rinse repeat on the cc's...i do like GFI and GFI calls right now, and added GFI July 15 calls yesterday...
