Reread post 2714.....I said I would like to see a link to an apology or retraction from NRO or Townhall. Obviously, you don't have one so lets drop it.

I know NR prints corrections. Both NRO and Townhall are mainly run opinion, with maybe some news analysis but not news. I don't see newspapers run corrections for their op-ed pages and I rarely if ever see apologies. But you where not just talking about apologies in general you said "particularly when it has to do with Bush and their cheer leading of his policies." I pointed out that NOR and Townhall are not cheer leaders for Bush, they push their ideas which are often enough similar to Bush's but when Bush pushes something they are against they won't refrain from arguing against Bush's proposals. Also they would see no reason to apologize for supporting proposals or actions from Bush that they though where correct and still feel are correct. If they changed their mind about the ideas, then I suppose an apology is possible but asking them to apologize for supporting conservative ideas or supporting Bush on certain issues is like asking you to apologize for opposing Bush.

If we had to go to war anyway it was best done sooner rather then later.

I said we should only go to war as a last resort. As it turned out, we didn't have to have gone had Bush not been so impetuous.

At the time it looked like we would have to go to war because of WMD and it was best to get it over with. In any case the world is well rid of Saddam. If I knew for certain before the war that there where no WMD in Iraq I might not have supported the war, but I don't think the fact that we haven't found them makes the war immoral. My opposition would have been mild and based on potential practical problems. As it turns out many of the potential practical problems didn't happen, so WMD or no WMD I think the overall effect of the war has been positive.

it was you guys that pumped up Saddam/Iraq for over a decade.

What do you mean by that?

Ok then they are declassified documents not classified.

Give it a rest.......I am not impressed!

I wasn't trying to impress anyone. Why would I care if you where impressed?
