>>Globalization cannot be avoided. Think about this. If an AMERICAN company does not take steps to operate as effeciently as possible (this means cheaply as to products) a foreign company can utilize labor wherever applicable and UNDERCUT our American company in its prices. Then what happens? Our American company fails, ALL the people here lose their jobs.<<

No one is arguing that globalization must end...everyone realizes that would be impossible. However, the process is supposed to be operating under fair free trade agreements. Those negotiating the trade agreements completely ignore the workers & focus solely for the benefit of patriotism-neutral multi-national corps.
America at one time stood for raising standards of living for 3rd world workers, today those in charge stand for nothing but assuring more wealth for the world's wealthiest corps. Geo Washington, Thos Jefferson & Abraham Lincoln would never allow such a thing. It's completely opposed to a government of the people, by the people, for the people.

I believe the most interesting question is "how will the USA continue to be largest consumer market when those same consumers are either working in low-wage jobs or are unemployed?"
