SLEAZY JOURNALISM:

Looks like Drudge and the Republican hit teams are working their sleazy games again.

Two years ago, I was a frequent correspondent with the President of the American Society of Professional Journalists. I, and a couple of friends, were feeding this "reporter" a ton of exciting and intriguing stories that we were forwarding from Truthout.org, Buzzflash, the Guardian, the BBC, etc.

We sent dozens of great leads for articles to him. He disregarded every single one of them.

What was he doing instead of covering real news? He was "exposing" the Democratic Governor of the state of Kentucky (at the time) as an alpha male who'd had an affair a couple of years previously. This jerk of a reporter, the President of the Society of Professional Journalists, utterly failed to get any real news into his paper, but he got months worth of tittie-lating innuendo, rumor and eyebrow lifting out as a partisan hack attack against a decent man.

And last fall, the journalist won. He destroyed the Democrats in the Governor's race.

While utterly disregarding real news, and concentrating solely on being a verbal hit man.

The state of "Professional Journalism" in this nation is shockingly bad. The prostitution of these people is extraordinary. No, let me take that back. I don't want to impugn the honor of prostitutes by comparing them to a tawdry ratpack of corporate journalists.
