They also made clear the obstacle to peace was the Japanese military:

the emperor and some of his aides wanted to end the war by summer 1945. But they were vacillating and couldn't prevail over a military that was determined to keep going even if that meant, as a navy official urged at one meeting, "sacrificing 20 million Japanese lives."


You OTOH want to blame all the Japanese military's crimes from the start of the war to the end on America and President's Roosevelt and Truman. Now you're either trying to protect the reputation of the Japanese military hardliners or you simply have a major grudge against America.
