I'm not at all fatalistic - the developments in China evidently will make life a lot better for a significant part of humanity. How these improvements would be offset this side of the historical, gone-by-now, divide? Would not hurt me to switch to a bicycle, or say "No, thank you, no, no riksha from me, I think Id better walk, same as you". Maybe I should really winterize my BMW and, like suggested to Ray, pull it out every now just to keep batteries in order... I guess you know what I mean...
Of course my middle name right now is Gullible (or Blue-eyed, even if my eyes are more to the grey side) But to anybody with bad, if not criminal intentions, gullibility is just a question of "how much" and not "if". I mean, whoever said :"Every second a sucker is born", he did not mean himself, did he. Imagine J6P realizing he's been had... Rabbit Angstrom losing his FL flat &c, son back on coke...
