All I can say is ditto... I told the wife years back that after the kids were out we would get a small place on a lake here in CT and either build or fix up nice what was there. That time is here and IF you can find anything on any water here including a rain puddle you need the money of Citi Bank to buy it. I could go up north probably 5-6 hours and still get something real nice on a lake/river there but it's a long way to go and no way she would go there in the winter. I think it took her the first 20 years of living here (dragged her out of Alabama)to get used to the cold here and it's a lot colder 5-6 hours north of here. And...there is also the Kids/ Grandkid thing as well.
