And those of you calling Bush a warmonger might want to read up on a southern Baptist Democrat and his connections with a former Iraq and the killing of hundreds of thousands of Iranians.

The time to have justified forceful intervention in Iraq on humanitarian grounds was indeed during the Iran war and directly after the 1991 gulf war, when saddam was busy slaughtering revolting kurds and shia. Why don't you tell the thread what the US was busy doing during these two time periods and who was in charge at the time.
