It's because we have the Clinton history of it, Karen. Whatever happened to "9-11 changed everything"? Making assumptions about what anybody would do based on a straight line from pre-9-11 is simply not valid. It has been a constant litany of "pull out" about Iraq I must have missed that litany. I've heard it mentioned a few times but not enough to think that it is a consensus. I realize I don't pay as close attention to the intra-Dem debates as you do, but I think that if that were the prevailing attitude I would be aware of it. What I've heard mostly from the Dems is that Bush screwed up in the way he got us into this. You and I have discussed before that that isn't remotely the same thing as an intention to cut and run. The spineless and the handwringers are on the left. So you're generalizing that, what, all Democrats are spineless and handwringers and that a Democratic President will be one, too? Yep, all horses are apaloosas. Sheesh!
