Perhaps. But there have been no reports of the fact that the issue has been extensively discussed in the web, a fact which is surely newsworthy.

There has been almost complete media silence; perhaps the girl's links to AP have something to do with it.

My instincts--based on on nothing but intuititon--are that the story is true, that its purveyors are not particularly clean, that the press is being reticent because it is biased and because it doesn't want to torpedo Kerry at this stage, and that the matter will be eventually blow sky-high with unknown political consequences, none good for the Dems. If it doesn't receive widespread media attention, it will fester in the cyberspace. Either way, the GOP benefits.

Having seen what happened to Monica, I think the intern is quite reluctanct to aggressively go forward. She will be marked for life. What sane young person wants that kind of fate?
