Killer, Bush would have decimated Dean. He eluded Vietnam duty, claimed a bad back and was skiing in Colorado instead. That would be fodder for the Republicans.

Dean also has to take responsibility for his campaign. He cannot go around blaming the system, the press and everybody else in the world. You could have a good message like Dean did. But he did not have a good campaign. He put all his money in Iowa, lost Iowa and with it all his money.

So a President is one who not only should have a vision but should also have the ability to put that vision into action, bring his ideas to life. Dean proved that he lacked that executive capability on the National scene, even though he could show a excellent record for a state like Vermont which does not have challenging problems of the proportion we see in states like California, New York, Florida, Iowa etc.
