Good point, how many national guardsmen are now serving in Iraq?

In the wars first phase, 29,000 Army National Guard soldiers from 708 units served in Kuwait and Iraq. This included 7 infantry battalions. They received 476 Combat Infantry Badges and 31 Combat Medical Badges. Currently 22%, or 28,000 of the US forces in Iraq, are Guard or Reserve members. By April the reserve contribution will total 39,000 , equaling 37% of the total US strength. Among them will be 6,000 Marine reservists and 15,000 soldiers comprising three separate infantry brigades, from North Carolina, Washington, and California. At least two of the latter are slated for combat duty. In Maghrib the soldiers of the 124th Infantry regiment are from the Florida National Guard. Their role there involves intense urban warfare. The contribution of the Guard and the Reserves has been outstanding. The death toll of the citizen soldier now totals 21% of Americans lost. These soldiers come from all states, not just those I mentioned.
Kerry is a traitor to the Veterans of Vietnam and those who serve in the Guard and Reserves, and have served in other wars.
