Hello Haim, <<I do not think that there is a big difference between India and China. IMHO I think India with it's democracy will have a much stronger impact on world economy than China due to the population growth rate.>>
... you seem conflicted. You are saying there is no big difference and then proceed to state a huge difference, one that may be fatal for one country or the other at different some point along their development curve.
Democracy makes the difference between what is Philippines and what used to be Taiwan, and what is Singapore and what was Malaysia, but as to its efficacy on economic impact, well, history speaks for itself.
You assumption is that all is static. Mistake number one, and one that is the easiest to spot.
BTW, fundamentalism hardly ever enables economic reform. Fundamentalism takes many forms. You will come to realize this.
I think I know you are probably wrong in your statement, which would be understandable, as understandable as if I write "I do not think there is a big difference between Indonesia and ... (which one shall it be, oh, let's write, pick a country, any country, as it would sound not very wise in every case ...) ..." such is the difference between China and every country that is not doing its thing on genuine structural reform in a populous manner, leading all to TeoTwawKi.
India is getting on to doing its thing, presumably very different from China's act, as different as Estonia is from (pick a country, any country), and in its way, will affect the world, no more, no less, but very different.
We do not need to come back and forth on differences, but only continue to watch the show as the script reveals more and more, in its good time.
