The Dollar's Value


NPR's Bob Edwards talks to David Wessel, deputy bureau chief of The Wall Street Journal, about the U.S. dollar's relative weakness, compared to other major currencies. To offset the U.S. trade deficit, the federal government has been borrowing more from abroad. Wessel says that's working at present, but could drive interest rates upward in the longer term.
