I prefer not to see my words used in a misleading manner, even as a joke. Humor is very dependent on a common frame of reference, you and I do not have one, therefore your humor is very likely not going to be what I would consider humorous. That's just the way it is. I was not offended, I just felt the cut you made of my words was misleading and I said so. I still say that. Choosing to see me as "offended" isn't going to be very helpful for you, since it personalizes the whole thing, and this isn't personal.
