I think the Dems should emphasize the record high unemployment levels under Bush, the plunge of the Nasdaq from 5100+ to the 2000's under Bush, the enforcement of UN sanctions against Iraq instead of looking the other way for another four years, the insistence on fighting wars for more than a 24-48 hour bombing run, the failure to move the economy from negative growth in the third quarter of 2000 to nearly 5 percent growth in the past year, the rampant inflation and stagflation the U.S. is suffering, the failure to increase (i.e., the savage cuts in) nondefense spending, the extramarital affairs that Bush has had with interns, the lying under oath that Bush has done, the statement in the 2003 SOTU address that the Iraqi threat was (and I quote) "imminent", the high interest rates that Bush's policies have forced upon the Federal Reserve, resulting in thousands in additional mortgage payments to be made by honest, hardworking Americans, the fact that under Bush the percentage of the income tax revenues paid by the top one percent of Americans has fallen to only twice the level it was 25 years ago (more than 35 percent instead of 19 percent), and the fact that under Bush, many people hate us, especially Muslim extremists.
Since these things are clearly all Bush's fault he should be thrown out of office.<g> |
