Do you think they give one toss for the plight of the Iraqi people?? Why is it so hard for US to admit the same?

Whatever the motives, the US has now staked out a position where a stable and legitimate government for the Iraqi people, is a foreign policy success for the US. So therefore, the US does care for the plight of the Iraqi people.

France and Russia, on the other hand, worked to keep them enslaved under Saddam.
