... so there is that to it -g- .... really there wasn't much of a choice in that election ... things somewhat more defined now, a few new items, occupation of Iraq, ballooning deficit, etc
Bilow on FADG was keeping up pretty well on mobilisation/demob figures during that time, i think major troop movements were a little later than you suggest here, a lot of materiel was moved in first of course ... in any case, all this too could have been seen as bargaining chips, for getting together an alliance to resolve the issue ... people generally could not have known at that time just how dictatorial and intransigent the Bush admin would be, to what degree they would alienate natural allies ..... and of course, most accepted their take on WMDs ... right down to knowing where they were, and on how many minutes notice they could be launched, lol .... ah, the rich tapestry of life, eh ..... cheers |
