My thinking runs among more cynical lines regarding "the welfare" of financial America, perhaps.

Using Ashcroft as a tool for the insurance lobby, which probably bought all his elections in the first place, the health and life insurers will find, UNDER LAW, good "reason" to deny coverage -- rather, deny payments to their insured for claims when one need to use the insurance 20-30 years later for ANY type of treatment -- based on "undisclosed, pre-existing 'conditions."

For example:
You had an abortion? Asks the underwriter. That caused your breast cancer, and you didn't tell us when we wrote your policy, so fuck you. Your health insurance ain't paying for anything RELATED to the abortion you had 25 years ago. YOU BROKE THE LAW.

While continuing to collect premiums that escalate 30-40% each year.

You see, E, insurance companies only "like" the "healthy" people.
