"The man specifically states that he is not a scholar so your criticism is unfounded"
He pretends to be an authority as well as a warrior. He displays a contemptible arrogance and a smarmy disdain. I asked you legitimate questions. Your answer (am I surprised?)is to make a personal attack. I say again...
"As to the particular article which YOU posted: Please do me the courtesy of pointing out what points he is making which you feel have yet to be refuted? Has he proven that Christianity is a "better" myth than Mithra? Has he explained how all the PROVEN linkages between Zoroaster, Mithra, Krishna, Buddha, Christianity, etc. may be ignored, or may be used to justify the fealty toward any one or another of these myths?"
"here is someone who, unlike you has the guts to use his real name and who's scholarship is beyond question"
Well, he is not on a bulletin board site where thousands of people INTERACT in a rather personal and emotional manner. Consider your response to me. It is hostile and malevolent. Is there a rational reason why I should encourage people like yourself to cause me private aggravation through e-mail or telephoning, etc.?? As I said:
"Mostly my e-mail address. I wish to protect my privacy which is a value I regard very highly. But were I to put myself in the public domain on a private web site, and were I to assert a scholarly competence, then I would naturally do so openly and as a master of my field."

Mr. Nash has a peculiar idea of "history"! If there were any historical evidence for the myths of "Jesus", then every educated person in the world would be a Christian! There is nothing objective about Mr. Nash. I don't begrudge him the money he makes from his many books and his lecture circuit. But you cannot read anything he writes and pretend to think he is practicing objectivity. |
