I think the term is "The Great Commission" and it is what we are charged with, yes? To go and preach the gospel to all who will hear?

I think Brent thinks he is doing that by citing scripture. Although, I agree, simply posting scriptures does nothing for me because of the way he posts them and the message he tries to convey.

I often wonder why I come to this thread. "No one knows the hour" of the Lord's return, so why do we speculate, try to discern the time when we are told no one knows? Is it to prepare? You better be preparing every day because no one knows the day or the hour.

Maybe I have lost focus or maybe I am still too young in Christ to know, but trying to "guess" what is going to happen, how and when and to whom, seems like a waste of time. Maybe all of your lives are in better shape than mine and you can focus on these broader issues, but for me, I still need lots of work, still need to finish the Bible, much less any memorization, and I still need to learn to speak out for the Lord, to spread the Word. So, as far as when He is coming back, I only hope it is long enough away that I can be assured of my salvation through faith in Him.
