No, I'm just calling it how I see it. I've lived in the NYC area all of my life. In that time there have been two major floods that have taken at least a dozen lives and done $100 Millions in property damage. It would take approximately $200 Million to build a flood control project, that has been on the drawing boards since I was in my diapers, that would end the flooding forever. But, that project slowly creeps along with $1 Million here and $2 Million there. Also, there are mass transit projects like the 2nd Avenue subway in NYC that have been on the drawing boards since before I was born, and have yet to be properly funded or built. Yet, we spend $87 Billion on Iraq, a half world away, without question. Now, tell me that money couldn't be better spent right here in America, putting Americans to work as well? Forget the DNC and RNC propaganda, I'm just calling it how I see it where I live and that money that we spend on the military and on "rebuilding" Iraq could go a long way to improve my life and the rest of my fellow citizens lives right here at home in America. Our priorities are all screwed up.
