If there is progress on Al Qaeda, if Bush says he has finished Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and hence has turned his attention to the next target namely Iraq, then why did the Administration officials now claim that the recent series of bombings in Iraq is the work of foreign terrorists. Who are there foreign terrorists? What progress is there against these terrorists? How is it they can still cause thsi devastation and harm.

Are you aware that when folks in the US make statements such as "better in someone else's yard than in my yard", the Iraqis get angered that the US presence in their country is causing them all the grief? And with every passing day the US is losing support in Iraq.

So let us not rush to claim that the terrorist situation is under control. George Bush cannot shift the war from the US streets to the Iraqi streets. He needs to take the war to the terrorists' dens in the jagged hills of Afghanistan. He had an opportunity a year ago. He let it slip. Now Al Qaeda has regrouped and struck back even harder.
