Canal Plus still slow................... ijumpstart.com Canal Plus' Positive Numbers Last week, Canal Plus reported that subscription revenue for the past six months increased 8.9 per cent over the previous year, with the French digital platform Canalsatellite reporting a 41 per cent increase to Ffr407 million. Subscription revenue for French pay-TV channels hit Ffr4.179 billion. The company also reported provisional consolidated revenue of Ffr6.264 billion for the first six months of 1997, a 15.2 per cent increase from the previous year. Last year's merger with NetHold also was reflected in the pay-TV company's figures - with NetHold's Scandinavian and Benelux stations contributing Ffr216 million in the second quarter. First half 1997 results will be announced Sept. 18, 1997.
