Arno,

I always hesitate to express my gut feelings in a open forum, for fear that someone out there may take my comments to heart and be adversely affected in some way.

My feeling is that today's stock actions had a great deal to do with option expiry (all big cap stocks closed near the nice round numbers, didn't you notice?) and a Summer afternoon on Friday didn't help. The underlying theme is, basically, big money have removed some of their chips from the table and are "sitting on their hands". The last phrase is an exact quote from my WS broker.

I think the market may have small ups and downs--or not so small up and downs--until midway into the 4th quarter. IMHO, the techs will fare better than the DOW dogs.

There should be a rebound of the big three: INTC, MSFT, CSCO by Wednesday next week if not sooner, IMHO.

Regards,
Ibexx
