Terry McAullif lied and said on national tv that President Bush, our Commander in Chief was AWOL. He said this in a time of war

McAullif is simply playing politics. Bush's preferential treatment during Vietnam is fair game especially now he's portraying himself as the Rootin' tootin', straight shootin', C in C. McAullif is trying to focus attention on the whole package: Bush's "possible" AWOL, his avoidance of Vietnam and "line jumpin'" into the guard. It simply doesn't jibe with the image Bush is trying to project.
