Imminent means it is about to happen. Does not mean it will happen. Being in the state of imminent danger is also open to interpretation. When does the situation become imminent. For you it has occured with Iraq. For me it didn't. Especially not in light of the evidence of the threat that Iraq posed to the US. You think I'm paranoid. This is the first time in our history that we have a law on the books that says you can hold someone without proof, without a lawyer and without a time limit. If that isn't rife for abuse I don't know what is. Perhaps you don't know what the word paranoia means. With new laws like the patriot act there is reason to be afraid of the govt. And let's get this straight. I have never been a Saddam supporter. I have never been soft on terrorists and would like nothing better than to se them wiped out. But I don't want to become worse then they are in order to acieve that goal. Add to that that I don't believe we will ever kill them all and that in doing so we only make more terrorists, we shuol,d be looking at other means to disarm them. jb
