I was raised as a Catholic and honestly cannot remember it ever being mentioned....or maybe in the Sunday sermon, but then again, who listened to the sermons....;-) I would bet that only a very small percentage of Christians know what it is.... Philosophy, art, and literature have other values....which I guess religion has for many people also... "religion is the opiate of the masses"
