If Pop didn't replace Quayle, Sonny-boy is certainly not going to replace Cheney, who is functionally a big asset and has been hit with a totally bum rap over Haliburton, which despite a boatload of frantic investigating, has not been found to have done anything wrong. Oh wait, one of their subcontractors (whom they were told to use) overcharged for some gas.

But it's Haliburton and they got a contract, so there must be a scandal in there somewhere. I think if we've seen anything through the last ten year's scandal-mongering, no matter which side is doing it, that the majority of the American people is sensible enough to say, "so explain to me exactly what he's being charged with again?" and to lose interest if the charge doesn't hold up to the huffing and puffing.
